Message of the Week - November 4, 2023
Hi friends! Let's talk about purposeful living and wise stewardship of our time, money, and assets. It’s beautiful to be an active contributor in the time and space God has placed us in. We're called to be a blessing to others, to provide for their needs, and to have open hands, signifying an open heart. It's a reminder that we can't outgive God!
While it's wonderful to be generous, we must also exercise wisdom in where we allocate our resources, be it money, time, or assets. It's crucial to assess how much we truly need in our storehouse, and whether we can share more with those in need.
When we give, it's essential to remember that it's no longer in our control. It's now up to the receiver to use their own discernment on how to make the most of our generosity. Releasing and letting go can be a profound act of faith and trust.
Proverbs 11:25-26 (NLT) beautifully reminds us, "The generous will prosper; those who refresh others will themselves be refreshed. People curse those who hoard their grain, but they bless the one who sells in time of need." So, let's strive to be purposeful refreshers, not hoarders, and watch as blessings flow into our lives when we bless others.
